Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 426 Crosstimbers Street about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 15).
The victim, 75, was transported to an area hospital to undergo surgery.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective M. Deleon and T. Youll reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at a convenience store at the above address and learned the victim pulled a knife during an altercation with a suspect inside a vehicle in the parking lot. At some point, the suspect’s cell phone fell and the victim picked it up and walked away. The suspect approached the victim, pulled a gun and shot him one time. The suspect then retrieved his cell phone and fled the scene.
Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the abdomen. At this time, the suspect is described only as a black male.
