Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 4118 Cornell Street about 11:45 a.m. on Thursday (July 15).
The victim, Celia Dianne Hunter, 58, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The victim stated she was inside her residence when she was advised by her roomates that a male known as “Big Boy” was there. The woman told the male he owed her money and he walked away from her. When the woman tapped the male on the back, he turned around and shot her in the chest and arm.
The suspect, described as a black male, then left the location in a dark gray or black sedan with a paper license tag. Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital.
