Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 2200 Dolly Wright Street that occurred about 7 p.m. on Monday (August 9).
The male victim, Joseph Hardiman, 31, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Merino and C. Johnson reported:
Investigators responded to a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Hardiman had been walking eastbound on Dolly Wright when a suspect began shooting at him. Hardiman pulled a gun and shot back at the suspect, but it is unknown at this time if the suspect was struck. Hardiman was struck once in the torso, ran to a group of witnesses in a nearby car and demanded the witnesses transport him to a nearby hospital.
The suspect fled the scene in a unknown vehicle.
