| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 200 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 3 p.m. on Thursday (June 24).
The victim, 16, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Barker and M. Combs reported:
The victim was a passenger in a vehicle traveling westbound near the above address toward the North Freeway (Interstate Highway 45) when a white Nissan Altima tried to merge onto the freeway and scraped the right side of the victim’s vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) in the Nissan then began shooting at the victim’s vehicle and he was struck in the right leg. The suspect(s) fled the scene. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
