| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1900 Dewalt Street that occurred about 1:45 a.m. today (March 30).
The victim, Margarito Lopez (w/m, 32) was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Bowling reported:
Officers responded to a report of a man shot at the above address and found Mr. Lopez had crashed his car into a ditch on the right hand side of the street. According to Lopez he had pulled out in front of a dark-colored sedan traveling southbound on Dewalt. As he pulled in front of the car, someone inside the car began shooting at him. Lopez felt himself get struck in the neck and then lost control of his car. The suspect’s vehicle then turned eastbound and fled the area.
