| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1510 Big Ben #32 about 9:35 a.m. on Sunday (July 21).
The victim, Camilo Varon-Calzada, 50, of the above address, was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective D. Polite reported:
Mr. Varon-Calzada was called to the apartment at the above address to meet a female he met through a social media app and, upon his arrival, was met by a male suspect who tried to rob him. Both Varon-Calzada and the suspect exchanged gunfire and Varon-Calzada was struck at least three times. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
