Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1201 Wilcrest Drive about 12:40 p.m. on Thursday (May 14).
The victim, James Washington, 29, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers Z. Brumley and M. Althaus reported:
Officers responded to an apartment complex at the above address where Mr. Washington stated he was shot by an unknown suspect during a robbery attempt. Washington believed he was followed to the apartment complex after using an ATM at another location. He said the suspect demanded money and then shot him.
The suspect is described only as a black male.
