| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 12000 Villa Lea Lane about 12:20 a.m. on Monday (January 25).
The victim, Christopher Foster Cunningham, 22, suffered a gunshot wound to the right eye area and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives L. Kauffman and C. Bowling reported:
Mr. Cunningham was dropped off outside Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital and walked inside while the vehicle that dropped him off left.
HPD patrol officers subsequently responded to a suspicious vehicle call at a dead-end at the above address following a report that two males were changing clothes and throwing bloody clothes into the bayou. Officers arrived and found the vehicle with bullet holes and blood present. The males were no longer at the location. The vehicle was determined to belong to a relative of Cunningham.
Cunningham was later transported by paramedics to a different hospital and is expected to survive.
