Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 11898 Bissonnet Street about 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday (July 22).
The victim, believed to be in his late 20s to early 30s, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers E. Bridges, L. Thornton and A. Huerta reported:
The victim was driving on Bissonnet Street behind the suspect’s vehicle when both vehicles came to a stop at the red light at the intersection of Kirkwood Road. The victim got out of his vehicle and approached the driver’s side door of the suspect’s vehicle, a red Mustang. He began banging and kicking on the driver’s side door of the suspect’s vehicle. When the victim then approached the passenger’s side door, he was shot one time.
The suspect immediately fled the scene in the Mustang. The victim retreated back to his vehicle and drove onto a nearby street. Witnesses on the scene called 911. The victim was transported to the hospital.
