Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 11402 Martin Luther King Boulevard that occurred about 11:15 a.m. today (April 26).
The victim, Kerry Mills, 41, suffered a gunshot wound to the hip and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers C. Brannen and A. Huerta reported:
Mr. Mills was at the convenience store at the above address when he and the suspect got into an argument and were kicked out of the store. The argument escalated and the two men began to physically fight. The suspect left the location in a silver Toyota Yaris and returned a short time later. He then fired a shot and struck Mills in the right hip.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been apprehended. His vehicle was recovered at a nearby apartment complex.
