Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 10500 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 1:05 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 6).
The victim, 12, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The victim was a passenger inside a truck travelling northbound on the Gulf Freeway service road approaching Edgebrook Drive when a red sedan pulled alongside the truck. The driver of the sedan pointed a gun and then fired several shots into the passenger side of the truck, striking the victim. The suspect fled the scene eastbound on Edgebrook. Paramedics were called and transported the victim to the hospital.
