Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1025 Elberta Street about 3:40 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 4).
The victim, Ronald C. Roberts, 43, left the scene before officers arrived.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer L. Bolmanski reported:
Mr. Roberts and another individual (witness) arrived at a family member’s residence at the above address and got into an argument with the family member in the front yard. When Roberts became aggressive toward the family member and the witness, the family member told Roberts to leave. Roberts refused to leave and charged at the family member, who fired one shot, striking Roberts in the leg. The family member called 911. At that time, Roberts and the witness left the residence in separate vehicles.
Roberts has not been located. The family member was questioned and released with no charges filed at this time.
