Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 1018 Ellington Street about 11:55 p.m. last Friday (Sept. 18).
The victim, Brandon Shields, 22, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Williams and B. Godoy reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Shields had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. According to a witness, Shields was sitting outside in front of the residence when the suspect’s vehicle drove and fired at Shields and witness several times. The vehicle, described only as a small silver SUV, then fled at a high rate of speed westbound on Ellington. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
