Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male that occurred at 10100 Club Creek Drive about 2:50 p.m. on Sunday (April 12).
The juvenile victim, 15, was shot multiple times and transported to an area hospital.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer K. Saulsberry reported:
The victim and his cousin drove to the store. Upon their return to their apartment complex at the above address, a white Chevrolet Tahoe pulled behind them in the parking lot. The victim and his cousin got of their vehicle and an unknown male suspect exited the driver’s side of the Tahoe and approached them. The suspect and the victim then got into a verbal altercation and the suspect shot the victim multiple times.
The suspect then got back into his vehicle and as he attempted to flee the apartment complex, the victim’s father tried on foot to follow the Tahoe through the parking lot. The suspect drove to the front exit gate of the complex but the gate did not open. While the suspect’s vehicle was at the gate, the father approached the vehicle from behind trying to get a license plate number. As the victim’s father approached the vehicle, the passenger side door opened and a second unknown suspect fired several shots at the victim’s father, but did not strike him. The driver then exited the complex at a high rate of speed. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
