Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 10018 Victoria Point Lane about 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday (March 27).
The victim, Javon Woodard, 27, was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers S. Ragsdale and R. Naughton reported:
Three to four armed suspects forced entry into a residence at the above address. At least one suspect fired several shots, striking Mr. Woodard. He was then transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital.
The suspects fled the scene in an older model (early 2000s) gold Toyota Camry.
As a side note, if anyone is worried about staying safe in their home, and would like to ensure that they are as safe as they can be in their home. Having CCTV installed is also good as this can help deter people away from your home, as cameras can help catch the person who stole from you (and people don’t want to be caught).
You should also make sure that you don’t show off any valuables that you have, and that you make sure to lock your doors and windows at night. Don’t forget it’s not just when you are sleeping, but also when you leave the house as well. If you are going away on holiday, then ask a friend to pop over when they can to make sure things are still okay.
No one wants to burgled, but there are precautions that you can take to stop any real damage from happening.
