Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 9502 Woodfair Drive about 1:45 p.m. last Friday (July 30).
The man’s identity and his cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Watson and Detectives R. Waterwall and K. Collier reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased person at an apartment complex at the above address and found the man on a couch in the living room. He showed no obvious signs of trauma and appeared to have been deceased for several hours.
The man’s roommate told investigators he had been talking to the man and then went to the bathroom. When he returned, he found the man unresponsive. The roommate also mentioned the man had fallen down. Based on inconsistencies in the roommate’s statements, he was detained for further questioning.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is pending autopsy results.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
