Investigation into Man’s Death at 650 Edgebrook Drive

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 650 Edgebrook Drive on Tuesday (May 13) at about 12:20 p.m.

The identity and cause of death of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

Homicide detectives were called to the above address after human remains was located during a missing persons investigation. A missing person report had been filed on May 6 and missing persons detectives obtained a search warrant for the above address.

When detectives searched the residence, human remains wrapped inside a plastic container were located in a makeshift shed connected to the residence. Homicide detectives, crime scene unit investigators and a forensic investigator with the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the location to collect evidence and the male’s remains.

The investigation is pending the male’s cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
