Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 888 West Little York Road

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found after a fire was extinguished at 888 West Little York Road about about 12:20 a.m. on Sunday (May 12).

The identity of the male, 74, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Wilson and Detective G. Zavala reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department emergency personnel responded to a house fire at a residence at the above address.  Patrol officers assisted with traffic control while HFD emergency personnel extinguished the fire.  One male was found inside the residence and pronounced deceased by doctors at an area hospital.

An autopsy will determine the male’s cause of death.  HFD Arson will investigate the cause of the fire.
