Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an individual whose remains were found at 9035 Banting Street about 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday (November 3).
The victim suffered no obvious signs of trauma. The victim’s gender, identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Pak and C. Flora reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to the above address after individuals clearing brush along Halls Bayou reported finding human remains.
HPD homicide investigators, representatives from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, and a forensic anthropologist were subsequently called to the scene.
The investigation is pending results of an examination by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
