| Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 333 South Jensen Drive about 8:50 p.m. on July 19.
The female is identified as Shelby Nicole Vercher, 31. Her cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Henderson and L. Patterson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a suspicious event call regarding a trash can in the bayou at the above address. The Houston Fire Department Marine Unit also responded to the scene and secured the trash can to a boat dock.
The HPD Dive Team transported the trash can to 808 North York, where it was removed from the water and a deceased female (Vercher) found inside. Ms. Vercher was transported to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, where she was formally identified.
