Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 1901 Richmond Avenue about 9:35 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 29).The identity of the female, 51, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Campbell reported:Officers were approached by an individual who advised there was a deceased person in an apartment at the above address. When officers searched the apartment, a woman’s body was located. Paramedics pronounced her deceased and stated the body was in early stages of decomposition.The woman’s cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.Anyone with additional information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
