The fatal stabbing of a female at 8100 Creekbend Drive about 11:35 p.m. on Thursday (July 21) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Detective C. Lafour reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex at the above address and found a female deceased in the parking lot. One female was detained at the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined the detained female is one of the complex tenants and deceased female was visiting. The visiting female was intoxicated and was told by the tenant that she had to leave. The visiting female became enraged and assaulted the tenant. A male acquaintance of both females intervened to stop the assault. The visiting female broke away from the male and assaulted the tenant a second time. At that time, the tenant picked up a kitchen knife to defend herself and stabbed the female in the chest.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, this case will be presented to a Harris County grand jury for review.
