The fatal stabbing of a woman at 7402 Calhoun Road about 2:20 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 17) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased female, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ferrell and A. Hernandez reported:
Officers were dispatched to a stabbing call at a residence at the above address and found a woman in a back bedroom with a puncture wound to her right leg. Paramedics transported the woman to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Another female, 25, at the residence told detectives she accidentally stabbed the woman when she entered the bedroom.
After consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined the incident would be referred to a grand jury.
