Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 6730 Hillcroft Avenue about 7p.m. last Friday (June 14).
The identity of the deceased male, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Providence and M. Barton reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to several 9-1-1 calls regarding a stabbing incident in a business parking lot at the above address. Officers arrived and found an unresponsive man with stab wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased.
A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined the victim and a male suspect got into an altercation that led to the stabbing. A male was detained at the scene for outstanding warrants, however no charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
