Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a male that occurred at 1698 Sutton Street about 11:45 p.m. on Thursday (June 25).
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Officer J. Gardner reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported Failure to Stop and Render Aid (FSRA) call at the above address and found the victim deceased at the scene. Officers with the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division began investigating what was initially believed to be a hit-and-run crash. Officers were advised by a Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences investigator that the victim had what appeared to be puncture wounds to his neck and, based upon his pockets being turned inside out, may have been robbed.
HPD Homicide Division investigators were subsequently contacted and have been unable to locate any witnesses or suspects.
