The fatal stabbing of a man at 1150 Rusk Street about 7:55 p.m. on Monday (November 21) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants W. Dunn and N. Miyako reported:
METRO police officers responded to a stabbing call on a METRORail train at the above address and located a male sitting on a bench right outside the rail car. Another male was found, unresponsive, inside the rail car with apparent stab wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the wounded male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The male suspect, 60, was interviewed by HPD homicide detectives. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined the incident will be referred to a grand jury for review.
At this time, there is no continuous threat to the general public.
