The fatal stabbing of a man at 1030 Globe Street about 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday (December 30) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The deceased man, Gilberto Gomez-Nino, 42, was transported to an area hospital where he died.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Detective M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported stabbing at a residence at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Gomez-Nino in the living room. Houston Fire Department paramedics then transported him to the hospital.
Further investigation determined Gomez-Nino threatened to kill a male family member, 37. The two men then got into a physical altercation during which Gomez-Nino was stabbed at least once.
