Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 9500 Crofton Street about 9 p.m. on Saturday (February 16).
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective B. Roberts reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victim inside a vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.
Further investigation determined the victim had been shot a short distance away. He then drove to the above address where he crashed into a parked vehicle.
There is no known motive or suspect(s) at this time.
