HPD Homicide Division Special Investigations Unit detectives reported:
DPS troopers observed a robbery in-progress involving three suspects at a business at the above address. When troopers attempted to intervene as the suspects exited the business, one suspect pointed a weapon at the troopers. More than one trooper then discharged weapons and struck the suspect. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. The two other suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
As is customary in officer-involved shooting incidents – regardless of the law enforcement agency involved – in the city limits, the incident is being investigated by the HPD Special Investigations Unit and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
