Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9995 Harwin Drive

The fatal shooting of a man at 9995 Harwin Drive about 6:30 p.m. last Friday (March 21) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.  

The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The male shooter, 33, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Waterwall and H. Montealegre-Cerrato reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.

A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined two males exchanged gunfire and both were struck. Officers found one male at the scene.

The other male fled in a red Dodge Caravan. Officers later located him nearby suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to the hospital for treatment.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and it was determined this case would be reviewed by a grand jury.
