Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 9834 Meadowglen Lane about 10 p.m. on Monday (June 9).
The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective A. Hernandez reported:
Officers responded to a report of a person down at 2901 Elmside Drive. When the officers arrived they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Further investigation revealed the male had been shot in a business parking lot at 9834 Meadowglen Lane. A black Chevrolet pickup truck was seen driving through the parking lot and shooting at the victim and a female. Both victims fled on foot until the male collapsed on Elmside. The Chevrolet was last seen fleeing northbound on Elmside drive.
At this time there is no known motive or suspect(s).
