Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 9603 Homestead Road about 8:30 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 20).
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers B. Roberts and K. Heaverlo reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a male lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound. According to witnesses, the deceased male was acting erratically, approached a dark gray four-door sedan and began striking it with his hands. As a result, the male and a passenger in the vehicle began arguing. During the altercation, someone inside the vehicle shot the male, killing him. The vehicle’s occupants then fled the scene.
