| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 9555 Crofton Street about 4:30 p.m. last Friday (February 28).
The identity of the victim, believed to be 15 to 17 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Henderson, L. Patterson and K. Amri reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive male with gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined a suspect vehicle, described only as a black, four-door sedan with several suspects, stopped at the above address. The males exited the vehicle and shots were fired in the direction of the apartment complex. The victim was struck by the gunfire. The suspects then fled the scene in the sedan immediately after the shooting.
At this time, there is no known suspect(s) description.
