| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 9550 Deering about 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday (April 26).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Detective K. Elliot reported:
The victim was in the parking lot of the Vineyard Townhomes at the above address when a dark-colored Chevrolet Avalanche pulled into a parking space a short distance away. A short time later, an unknown male suspect exited the vehicle and fired a gun at the victim, striking him several times. HFD paramedics transported the victim to memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The suspect is described only as a male in a possibly blue or black Chevrolet Avalanche with stock wheels and no front license plate.
