Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9400 Concourse Drive about 2:10 a.m. on Sunday (April 11).
The identity of the victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and J. Escobar reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting in the roadway at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victim inside the driver’s seat of a truck suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was subsequently transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A witness stated the victim appeared to be involved in an altercation with an unknown person in a black car that had an “H” emblem. The witness stated that as the victim was driving away, at least two gunshots were heard. The black vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Duchamp Drive.
