| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 900 Webster Street bout 9:35 p.m. on Saturday (November 20).
The identity of the victim, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officer J. Campbell reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated the victim and a suspect got into a physical altercation when the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
At this time, there is no known suspect description.
