Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one male and the wounding of another that occurred at 900 Moody Street about 3:35 p.m. on Monday (May 18).
The identity of the deceased male, 19, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The second male was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening wounds.
HPD Homicide Division Officers P. Pak and C. Flora reported:
Officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found a male suffering from a gunshot wound He was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.
The other male was located at 1000 Cavalcade Street. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators learned the males shot each other at 900 Moody Street. Both scenes (Moody Street and Cavalcade Street) are a short distance from one other.
Specifics regarding the shooting are unknown at this time.
