Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8900 Lipan Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8900 Lipan Street about 12:55 a.m. today (September 9).

The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Olive and Detectives G. Zavala, A. Hernandez and T. Tyler reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in a park near the above address and found an unresponsive man in the grass south of the baseball filed near the sidewalk.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

According to witnesses, two unknown male suspects were seen running from the scene.
