Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 8900 Chimney Rock at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday (Jan. 11).
The identity of the male victim, 29, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Dominguez and Officer K. Heaverlo reported:
Officer responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim had flagged down Houston Fire Department personnel and advised them he'd been shot. The victim was transported to Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
