Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of five other men at 8708 Beechnut Street that occurred about 10 p.m. last Friday (February 26).
The identity of the deceased victim, 22, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Five other victims – ages 18, 25, 27, 29 and 32 – all suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to area hospitals in varying conditions.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner and Detective A. Bock reported:
The victims were at a car wash at the above address when a white Ford F-150 pickup truck with an unknown Hispanic male suspect and three other male suspects drove up to them. The suspects fired multiple gunshots, striking the victims. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.
