Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8600 Sterlingshire Street about 1:25 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 6).
The victim is identified as Derrick D. Harvey, Jr., 22.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call to a parking lot at the above address and learned Mr. Harvey had been shot several times. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a skinny black male running from the scene and getting into a burnt orange Mitsubishi Eclipse that fled westbound from the location.
