Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8600 Mesa Road about 9 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 11).
The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meeks and Detective J. Gardner reported: Officers responded to a shooting call at strip center parking lot at the above address and found an unresponsive male in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. He had been shot several times and was pronounced deceased by paramedics. Based on witness statements, it is believed a robbery took place during the sale of narcotics, which led to the suspect shooting the victim. Witnesses stated the suspect fled the scene in a cream-white colored sedan.
