Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8100 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 3:25 p.m. on Sunday (July 5).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Caten, D. Higgs and C. LaFour reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a convenience store at the above address and learned the victim had been driven to a nearby Houston Fire Department station. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The unknown suspect fled the scene westbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard in an unknown vehicle.
