| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7959 Sunbury Street about 7:10 p.m. on Thursday (April 18).
The identity of the victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective K. Stringer reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim unresponsive in his apartment. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased from a gunshot wound.
According to witnesses, the victim was standing outside on his balcony when two male suspects walked by and shot him.
The suspects are described only as two black males in a green Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.
