The fatal shooting of a man at 7717 Willow Street that occurred about 2:35 a.m. today (December 4) will be referred to a Harris County Grand jury.
The identity of deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detective M. Perez reported:
The deceased male and victim are roommates at the above address and were involved in a verbal argument that lasted several hours. During the argument the deceased male got a rifle and walked around with it during the argument. The victim became concerned for his safety as the argument progressed. The male then pointed the rifle at the victim, who fearing for his life, then discharged his firearm, striking the male. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
After a review of the facts by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the case has been referred to a grand jury.
