Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 7700 Corporate Drive about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday (April 17).
The identity of the deceased male, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Wilson and Detective A. Hernandez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a robbery call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the male unresponsive in an apartment walkway. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Officers found a second juvenile male, 16, suffering from gunshot wounds at a nearby apartment complex. Paramedics transported him to an area hospital.
Investigators learned the juvenile males were involved in an apparent narcotics exchange with an adult male, 19. A preliminary investigation indicated the adult was assaulted and robbed by the juveniles. The man retrieved a firearm and fired multiple shots, striking both juveniles.
Paramedics also transported the adult to an area hospital for injuries sustained in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
