Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7320 Cullen Boulevard about 12:35 a.m. today (July 1).
The identity of the victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detectives C. LaFour, J. Escobar and N. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found a female standing in the middle of the street, waving them down for help. Officers then found a male with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.
The female stated she was in the vehicle with the male headed to their destination when a suspect(s) in an unknown vehicle opened fire and struck the driver’s side multiple times. The victims’ vehicle crashed into a nearby building and the suspect(s) fled the scene. The female suffered minor lacerations from broken glass.
