The fatal shooting of a man at 706 Greens Road about 10:30 a.m. today (May 14) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter was not injured.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective K. Collier reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of a store at the above address and found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation indicated the males got into an argument prior to the shooting.
The male shooter was detained and provided a statement to officers.
After contacting the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined the case would be presented to a Harris County grand jury for review.
