Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of two others at 7007 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 4:55 p.m. on Tuesday (May 26).
The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Rossow and A. Henderson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and determined three persons had been shot. Witnesses stated they drove away from the scene in an attempt to get to the nearest hospital and stopped a short distance away on the northbound service road. Houston Fire department personnel transported two victims to an area hospital, where one was pronounced deceased and the other remains in stable condition. The third victim suffered a minor graze wound and was treated at the scene. A fourth victim was not injured.
The suspect is described only as a black male driving a dark black or blue sedan.
