| The fatal shooting of a male at 647 Greens Road about 12:15 a.m. today (February 27) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective G. Zavala reported:
The male shooter was not injured.
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a gas station at the above address and spoke with a male who stated a male with a ski mask, armed with a gun, approached him aggressively and attempted to rob him. The suspect then reached for the male’s waistband and, fearing for his life, the male pulled out his weapon and shot the suspect multiple times. The male then fled the scene and called police. The suspect later turned up at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where he was pronounced deceased.
The male shooter retuned to the scene and spoke with HPD homicide detective.
Further investigation and statements by the male shooter determined this case would be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury for review.
